  1. When I first met Jean, I called her Mrs. Burgdorff. Later when Charlie and I got engaged, one day she told me I could call her mom, since my own mom was so far away, and since that day she has been mom to me. She treated me like any other human being regardless of my skin color and I am so very grateful to have had the privilege to assist her when she had a need. Her love for God was so great, and she taught me the only way in life is to love more!

She is a wonderful mom, mother-in-law, grandma, and great grandma. She is the greatest, and I am so blessed to be part of her life.

  2. Jean was a loved member of our congregation when in Florida. She enriched our lives with her wisdom, graciousness, willingness to share her love. Our church holds Wed. evening testimony meetings in which congregants have an opportunity to share how their reliance on God has brought healing to them. I loved Jean’s remarks that coming to a Wed. meeting and not sharing was like going on a picnic, sitting on the picnic basket and not opening it to share with others! What a delightful and insightful person! We love you, Jean!

  3. Jean brought me into the Burgdorff family as an office manager. She was a wonderful leader to work for, one who was warm, caring, and well thought of within the real estate community as well as a gifted speaker. She was an accomplished woman And lived a full life.
